POLL: Gonchar or Volchenkov

I have to say neither.

Gonchar: We have Kuba (and Karlsson)

Volchenkov: If Sutton is better, I'm sure we overlooked other cheaper alternatives.

Gonchar would be a fantastic addition, but I think he resigns with the Pens.

How much of that does Gonchar do now? What about in 3 years?

Let's put it this way. Aren't you glad Kovalev's $5M is only here for 2 years, not 3? I guess what I'm saying is I'd give him 2 years but I'd hesitate at 3; plus I'd like to drop that $5M cap hit a little. Will he still be worth $5M in 2011/12?

Is this actually a poll? Gonchar by an absolute mile, it's not even close.

Volchenkov is a better value when you factor in age. I don't really think either deal is great value. Both are injury prone but very good at what they do. I guess I'll take the 28 year-old over the 36-year old.

BTW, the times of all posts are one hour behind. I guess we didn't 'spring forward'.

Zebnkeasjentlekls(sp?) Michalek at 21 million over 6 years thanks. He's just as good as a shot blocker as A-Train, and has loads more offensive potential that is untapped. I'll take him long before either.
