I don't know how convinced I am about this. But, we all saw Russia's D go downhill in the Olympics. A-Train didn't look all that great either. I still love him though, it's goign to take me seeing him gone and how the guys play without him before I pass further judgement.

A-Train is a damn good defenseman, but is allowed to play that type of risk-taking game (and yes blocking shots and making big hits are risks) because of Phillips' steady presence.

He is good, defently one of the better defensive D men in the league. That being said, what he brings is defently replaceable.

I won't lie, one bad season are they're gonna trade Boyes? Would be a nice player to have here.

I watch a few Isles games here and there, and Sutton was impressive defensively. He is basically a bigger, taller, stronger Anton Volchenkov. He has tenacity, truculence, and testosterone. Also, his veteran presence will help in the playoffs, kind of like Hal Gill for the Pens last season. Giving up a late second rounder will not kill the franchise. Great trade Murray

Boyes gets dealt all over the place for a reason. He's a guy that can help a team but a guy that can be easily parted with. He may find his way back to Toronto.

boyes is 3 times the player is cheechoo is, yet some on here are bashing boyes while praising cheechoo as little as 1 month ago. makes no sense.

polak and perron are very nice players. very nice.
