You can't do that, Foligno would be going for sure, but yes, it would make us one of three favourites to win the East IMO.

I think it will end up being Sutton. He'll come cheap and he's a warrior. Plus he's from the Ottawa area and Murray seems to like that.

If not him then I'll say Seidenberg but my first pick is Sutton.

I'll go Robidas, I think what SSF and others have been selling is true, they need to shed salary and Bryan Murray will be right there knocking on the door for Robidas. But, with Robidas signing and extension recently, does that make it LESS likely?

Still..I'll choose him first. Hamhuis second and...Andy Sutton third.

Ballard is the most expensive and the biggest commitment at 4.2 million. Robidas comes in at 3.3. I guess you could always cross your fingers and hope that Kuba will waive and that someone will want him in the summer...

Yeah, I've always liked Sutton. This is the second or third straight deadline I've wanted him here.

This year? Maybe... pair with Karlsson and the resigning of A Train over the next few years, we would be tough to beat.

Seidenburg - inexpensive ufa - I liked what I've seen from him - although it's only been a handful of times.

I want no part of Sutton. He has been wildly inconsistent this year, and when he is bad he is Picardesque bad.

I'd take Ballard first, Hamhuis second and Kubina third.

Cowen is coming in next year so they'll most likely go for a UFA/rental player.

Doesn't his NTC expire on July 1? I thought it did. Maybe we DO go after a UFA, not a contract. Kuba's been...less than horrendous lately...I don't know what to say, he's been serviceable, but most 4 million dollar D-man will have ups and downs.

Maybe we wait until the summer after this to move him?

i think it wil be hamuis, it wouldn't be my first pick but i bet it might be BM 's he ain't to costly and he's a UFA and that's the trend in recent years with BM.

a little off topic but not completely, with the fire sale going in florida where do you think horton will land?
i always liked him even though he's never played to his full potential. better surrounded who knows? apparantly they want lots for him.

Yeah, I has heard the same thing. That's a little frightening, but at least Sutton is 6'6" and 250 of angry Picard.
