Also the twitter update quotes Clouston saying he is "doubtful to play before the Olympic break. That's a little different from what was being discussed earlier (not until after the break) or what was said on another board (out a month).

By the way, it's an afternoon game for Habs/Pens. Go ... Habs?

We're aiming for the division now, so Pitts is irrelevant.
I'll never cheer for the Habs

Buffalo has too many games in hand. It will take a few more wins to *really* catch them. Plus if Buffalo wins, we still have a chance to move up in the standings if Pittsburgh loses.

Well, 2 games in hand and 1 point difference is hardly "too many".

What's the point though? I don't really care about the difference between 4th or 5th, while winning the division is a little achievement.

One of those games in hand was against Carolina. They feel the pressure of Ottawa breathing down their necks

Games in hand are great but you actually have to win them. Losing to Carolina was not a good start. A Sens win and a Buffalo loss and Ottawa is on top and probably wont look back.

Look, guys, I'm not against getting ahead of Buffalo, but I also want Pittsburgh to lose. That way, even if Buffalo wins (and, frankly, I think they will) we can still move up.

Agreed. The 4th seed gives ottawa home ice for the 1st round and that is key for these senators. Go habs for today.
One thing i disagree with is i think buffalo loses to columbus tonight as lalime is in net due to miller needed a break. he let in a weak game winning goal last night.

4-2 Montreal with 13 minutes left. this darche kid is full of energy. MA fleury just got the hook.

6 players for montreal in this game against the pens started the season in the minors.
pittsburgh really needs some nhl calibre wingers to support their middle

Montreal wins. a win by ottawa tonight gives them the 4th seed and home ice for round one. add a buffalo/lalime loss against columbus and the northeast and 3rd seed is ours.

big emotional game tonight against toronto.

Pittsburg looked like OTtawa a few days ago when we had a 4 days break. Plus that first MTL goal was total BS.

Didn't know Lalime was going. If Miller is tired early in February this team is in serious trouble. He doesn't get a break during the Olympics, and he's a skinny rake to begin with (compared to him, Elliott is the Michellin Man).

Boston lost another one today, but managed to snag a loser point. How long before Julien is let go?

It's Chiarelli's fault they are in trouble, not Julien's. He didn't replace all the Kessel and Kobasew goals and with injuries and poor goaltending you easily falter. On the other hand, one draft will set them back to elite status...
