Just 3 points behind the Pens, now.

Great game tonight. Was Elliott first star? I see NHL has Spezza #1 and Elliott #2. What were the TSN picks?

Great game tonight, I have nothing to complain about. Spezza only had that one off shift on the powerplay, the rest was good. Neil tuned Eaton, and Kovalev is an entirely different player from the beginning of the season. He's looking great.

How on Gods Green earth was Spezza the number 1 star?! Elliott was easily the best Sen tonight, shouldnt even be a frigging topic. Spezza did not play a very good game despite his goal let alone getting the 1st star over Elliott.

Not quite. Just checked the side-by-side and we were 10-13-1, so now we are 11-13-1. Need two more wins. Next two road games are Buffalo and then the Leafs next Saturday.

sweet. thanks for checking dude...
it's attainable...Smile

He has some tough shifts in his own zone, but overall he wasnt bad, but he wasnt good either. Kovalev was amazing again though.

Jason has what you'd officially call a 5-game goal scoring streak...

...I only managed to catch bits and pieces of the game but I got to see that AWESOME hit by Neil on Eaton and I saw Kovalev plaster someone too.

This team is for real ladies and gentlemen. Eight game winning streaks aren't flukes...especially when you've only given up 8 goals in that same time frame and not a single one is on the power play.

Just sick what these guys are doing right now.

You're so right. and the worst part is that it HAS to end at some point, but i don't want it too... GAME DAY: Ottawa Senators @ Pittsburgh Penguins - 7:00pm ET - Thu. Jan. 28. 2010 - Page 17 105237

I know it's going to end, but I just don't see the winning going away. They're going to lose one here and there at some point (hopefully not soon) but the execution of their game plan is sickening to watch.

The system they have set up is relentless and when they have this much talent and skill and hard work in the lineup it's impossible to derail them.

I honestly though Malkin scoring in like the first 2 minutes of the game was the precursor to a blowout and the end of our streak.

I don't know what's happening with this team right now, but everyone is clearly on board. We're relatively healthy for the first time all year and we're getting production from all over the lineup. Hell, Phillips almost had himself another goal tonight.

I really want Gudbranson. Although trading up is fine.

Absolutely incredible Dung happening here right now. I don't see these guys losing, I mean, they'll lose, but they'll bounce back because for the first time since Murray - and some could argue, not even then, this team is playing a beautifully tight system. Aggressive forechecks, men back to support, feet moving, neutral zone plugged. Incredible, the guys are working to win board battles, and when they lose, another player come in.

Diddle man...this is a treat to watch. Ahhhhh!

Laugh1 What? Spezza was the 1st star? That's incredible. Elliott and Karlsson would be 2 of my three. Not sure who the other would be. Phillips, Volchenkov, Fisher, Alfie, Michalek?

Don't we really need an elite forward though?

Oh yeah, he was good with the exception of two shifts - big mistakes on those, but that aside, he was creative and moved his feet.

It's so true... everytime ANY sens player touches thepuck, it could end up in the net...they are determined forecheckers, collapsing lightning-quick down low and just seeing the ice so well...Smile

It reminds me of the team that marched through the 2nd half of the season and 3 rounds of playoff hockey in 07. Everyone contributing and working hard for each other. I'll dare say that this group has more chemistry than any Sens team ever.
