Take Fisher for example. As of last practice he's on the 3rd line with Cheechoo.

He may take that as a insult considering the outstanding season he's having so far, and he may feel his role has been diminished(hint). Or he may take that as a challenge to get back to his A++++ game.

It all depends on how the players take it and how the coaching staff rationalises their decisions, which is a lot easier if the team is winning.

Alfie will be retiring at some point and it's up to the organization to find a successor, which is going to be a tall order.

Yeah, Fisher's a good example, because he knows that it's more important for the team to win than for him to get his personal stats. If anything, he'll revert back to his simple game of banging, crashing and letting his wingers drive the net.

Cheechoo and Fisher is an interesting tandem actually. I don't believe we've seen that one yet.

Fisher's challenge was to get back to his A++++ game when the injuries hit the hardest and all he had was his A game which is nothing spectacular. That stretch was a real eye-opener to the coach, I'm sure.

The cream (Regin) rose to the top in that situation and we now see the results. It's pretty refreshing to have a coach who's not afraid to do what's best for the team instead of what's preferable to his "star" players.

Well it's during such times you find out what your team is made of.

Fisher is what he is, the coaching staff shouldn't make him out to be something he's not. He's still an excellent member of the team.

Same with Spezza.

Which is why he's on the 3rd line.

Well we'll have to see if Regin can hold onto that 2nd line spot now will we ? Have your say on the Sens year thus far! - Page 4 54934

Wasn't Fisher bumped back up with Alfie and Foligno during the last game? Not sure Fisher is getting the treatment you feel he deserves.

Are you trying to say you'd like to see Fisher go to Nashville for Colin Wilson and a first? Because if so, I'd like to give that a ringing endorsement. Have your say on the Sens year thus far! - Page 4 226479
