If I understand this whole cap thing correctly (and it's highly, highly unlikely I don't) then should Cheechoo's waiving only open up room for a similar cap-hit? Certainly it wouldn't give us enough room for a $7 millioner.

I'm wrong, it's when you acquire a guy making 7 million that he's down to around 3 at the deadline, not if you jettison a player.

That's 3 legitimate scoring lines, and no 1st/2nd/3rd, just 3 lines that score.

I would be very surprised and even more disappointed if Donovan was traded
