In relation to the last playoff run, deep would be winning a game.

I disagree. The guy speaks because he is 100% passionate and is a total fan.

Brodeur was listed as "available for Tuesday's game" so he's ready to go as well.

I'm not too sure he'll play again. We don't have any b2b's until the first week of Feb.

I think it depends on how long Leclaire is out for. We now know there's no reason to ride Elliott because Brodeur has proven himself capable of winning some games.

Yeah, but he's just going to embarass himself and the organization if they don't go deep in the playoffs. His fingers better be crossed hoping we at least play Buffalo in the first round.

Let's just pretend he didn't say anything and leave it at that....

Why do people care so much about Melnyk's predictions? Obviously he has a poor track record.

cheechoo has 13 points in 51 games and is a -9. He needs to be waived in order to keep smith up.

I like the guy too but business is business.

we could then sign a hard hitting d-man at the trade deadline.

melnyk owns the team-he can make all the predictions he wants and unlike us, make some of them come true.

Melnyk has made it abundantly clear that burying 3M is unacceptable.

What? What about the rest of this year's 3 million?

If he wants to 'go deep' in the playoffs, then he might have to deal with it.

Just sayin if we are sitting in 4th place at the trade deadline, with a chance to pick up a player we need but cheechoo's contract is in our way-will he change his mind?

I sure hope that we're not facing the Pens first round should we be in 4th or 5th come playoff time.

That's an interesting point. I'm not sure, but I tend to see Cheechoo as the type of player that becomes most effective in the tight checking post-season.

The only players I worry about on this team, in terms of post-season play, are Spezza, Kuba, and Picard. The rest of the team, including the current 4th line, is full of players I'm more than ready to go in to battle with (figuratively speaking).
