No, we'd have drilled past that.

Rock bottom? Remember two years ago? We were all saying how we'd hit rock bottom when this happened, then that, then the other. Eventually we started saying "When they fall out of the playoffs". For me last night was rock bottom, losing 3-0 to a non-playoff team. And afterward Clouston was saying how they played well defensively, and how the guys competed all the way. Maybe he was watching the wrong team.

The way Brodeur played, I'm actually a bit surprised they didn't send Snoopy down to Bingo for 3 games to get back in game shape. Would have given us an opportunity to give Mike a second look, perhaps. Plus nothing gets your head in the game like spending a week riding the bus in the AHL. I think Leclaire's head is not in the game like it should be.

Yeah. But we have a goalie who may or may not be good enough to play nhl hockey in 3 years

Umm ... what? Everybody has one of those, and what does this have to do with what I said about Leclaire getting a conditioning stint?

I think he was being facetious about Lehner.

Nothing. Was referring to your previous rock bottom post. Check timestamps and relax a little big fella. If you had realistic expectations for this team, maybe you wouldn't be so on edge about how bad things are right now.

This ain't rock bottom. We're decimated by significant injuries and are playing with little to no confidence.

I've been hinting at this for a week or so. All the built in excuses are there. I'll take a tank job and Taylor Hall please. I'm not interested in any more bandaid solutions that cost us first rounders at the deadline either Murray! GAME DAY: Ottawa Senators @ Carolina Hurricanes - 5:00pm ET - Sun. We had plenty of nights looking average with Spezza and Alfie et al in the lineup. It's not like we are going from Cup contender to also-ran. No team can compete with these types of injuries, but it's pretty plain to me that we aren't much much more than a one trick pony on offence. If none of a handful of guys aren't scoring, we don't win.

OMG! After the Canes third goal goes in, watch Leclaire stare down Cheechoo like he did something wrong. Stop a freakin puck leclaire. Do you even realize how many Dung goals you have let it? Hop aboard fells Leclaire is terrible in more ways than one.

You don't quote my post, then you make no references to anything I said there.

How am I on edge? I'm frustrated. To me rock bottom was last night and I'm being very realistic about it. Would it have been realistic of me to expect the entire first line to be out?

Shabbs, yeah, I *know* he was talking about Lehner.

One more bad goal 4-1. Serves you right for staring down Cheechoo when all he was doing was trying to stop a puck that you couldn't.

If the cavalry comes back and we're still dogging it like this... then I'll revisit the "rock bottom" declaration. But tonight's game ain't helping. This is gonna be a long road trip... long long long road trip.

Continuity does. And that's pretty offensive.
