That was a very good showing from Spezza that period. That was closer to the Spezza from the beginning of the season.

Karlsson's (not surprisingly) struggling a little in the defensive zone tonight. Hopefully they won't put him out against Staal again, and hopefully his puck-moving picks up so he doesn't have to spend too much time in the defensive end.

That was Kovalev's 399th career goal.
