Something else to think about is that since the Hawks are tight up against the cap this year and have "maxed out" their tagging for next year, if the injury bug hits them, they will be in a real predicament and won't be able to call up anyone that is on contract for next year as that would blow their tagging out of the water.

A wave of injuries would really force their hand to make a move now.

I can see Ottawa trading Campoli, not re-signing Shannon, and possibly trading Foligno (may be a piece of a bigger package). If anything, Ottawa needs to worry about signing Volchenkov if they even choose to do so
