I THINK they can sign Cowen to an ATO for the rest of this year and not 'burn' any of his ELC. I think that's what they did with Pat Cannone -- he's on an ATO.

I believe he is injured. Don't know if that is a coincidence or the reason he is not playing.

I think only injury substitutes can play if not on clear-day roster... so don't really know for sure.
