How do you figure he's taking the high road? It is what is is, there's nothing to mask here.

i guess i was thinking players previouslynamed him not a players coach and more of a hard a$$ so i think i envisioned a tortorella reply dunno why but i did

It's not really the 'high road', but I understand what you mean. There was an option for Clouston to destroy Heatley for being a tool, but he kept it quiet.

The best part is that its not some well respected veteran coach, only quite the opposite. A few months ago no one had even known who Clouston was and now hes talkin smack to a superstar. It dont get better then that :^^^^:

Diddle this guy and his options. Accept a trade or lose your spot on Team Canada. Diddle.

I sympathize with the sentiment to some point, but I'm pretty sure that the NHLPA would be all over our Donkey before you can even say "No Movement Clause".

My point was partially in jest, but I figure you all realized that. I don't see what case the NHLPA could possibly make. He'd be allowed to practice with the team, just not see any playing time (hell play him 3 minutes a night for all I care). He's still getting paid. That would set a terrible precedent where the NHLPA could file grievances over play time. Like I said, this was a joke, and about as likely as getting Malkin straight up for Heater.

I think Heatley has a problem with the way the roles are distributed in the dressing room. Maybe the guys don't really look up to him as the assistant or maybe it Murray/Melnyk that he really has a problem with. All in all, I'm still convinced Heatley won't be a Senator come training camp

I don't think he'll be here either. I think a team will step up to the plate and make a suitable offer. Murray has shown throughout this process that he would rather have a disgruntled Heatley here than a lowball offer. I think teams are starting to get that message and that's why the serious bidders are dwindling.

a lot would have to happen quickly for that to be achieved, so don't hold your breath on it, I won't believe it until I see it here or it's on TSN, whatever site I have open at the time.
