Well, if he doesn't give the media something substantial... I think they'll just continue to rip him and trash him as they'll feel ripped off, as will fans like us.

POLL: What will happen with Heatley?

Getcha popcorn ready! This is going to be better than a Terrell Owens driveway workout!
well unless Heatley has grown up a lot in the last few months of this happening, we will be seriously disappointed by what he has to say, my opinion anyway.
No, I'm thinking more in terms of what he's going to say to the media questions, particularly Dumb and Dumber from the Sun.

Anyone know what time it's supposed to be? I doubt we'll get live coverage of it... a media conference call followed by a press conference... we may get the presser covered live.SensFan71 wrote:shabbs wrote:Garrioch will be on his cell phone dialed in from the buffet... he's the master at multi-eating... er... tasking...
I wondered how he was going to do that, your idea makes perfect sense. should be quite the presser indeed then, wonder if TSN will interrupt Tennis for this.
Yeah really... what is the point?Vandelay wrote:Not really sure what's gonna come out of this. If he's not going to talk about why he wants out, "out of respect for the ottawa organization", what is he going to talk about?

I don't see how we can even consider trading him anymore. I would imagine thats a legally binding statement and I'm pretty damn sure we won't be getting anything resembling fair value in a trade.
You figure teams will back off now that they know he's going to be a man about things and not a quivering ball of suckass? It may be a legally binding statement, but I don't see how that stops Murray from trading him, unless no team steps up.

His contract legally binds him to show up if he's not traded. This is just his agent saying he won't hold out like Yashin did.cas wrote:"Barry says the Senators have been officially notified Heatley will be in camp if his trade request isn't met."

No performance guarantees though...
