If this does indeed happen, Brian Lee would absolutly have to be going the other way, I dont see how he couldnt be. Our blueline would be absoluty stacked.

Meh, Carle is nothing special at all, Parent has show signs of being a solid D man, same with Coburn. Love Timonen though and Pronger is Pronger. A lot of inexpierence on that blue line still.

I would prob say they are ahead of Ottawa, yes, but not by much if The Sens aquire Burns.

It also says that additional pieces might be added, including a salary dump from Ottawa, and Colton Gillies coming from Minny....

I'm sold. Schultz would be better in Ottawa. His skill is stifled somewhat in Minny system up to now. We all know what Koivu brings, and Cuma is the cherry on top.

The strange thing here is that apparently Ottawa is trying to include Havlat????? Why would Minny do that literally weeks after signing him. Doesn't send a good message at all to potential FA's looking at Minnesota for sure.

If this is an officially tabled offer, why hasn't Murray accepted it already?????

That's $8.25M for $7.5M in return, and we're already $2M in the whole. Even with Smith on the LTIR we'd be over the cap. Sending Schubert along for the ride won't help enough.

Where do these crazy rumors start? And when will posters learn to respect the cap?

i dont think a deal would include havlat AND mikko. most likely one or the other. i guess then havlat does not have a NMC? would he be happy in ottawa? we don't want another problem on our hands.
personally i might want mikko better we could use a great centerman for our second line. plus i hear Cuma will be great.

does heatley want to play for minny?

Don't get me wrong here ( as all of this is potentially a great ending to this mess)
but how does Senchirp know all this detail? he's always been very guarded about spewing too many unconfirmed rumors but now it's like he's sitting in Murray office typing as he talks!?

What gives? Again...THIS IS GREAT but I'm not going to get myself excited until I see the words "has accepted trade and not used his NTC"

Yeah, I completely agree. This Heatley mess has taught me not to get excited about anything until it actually happens. I want to rip my damn hair out and light myself on fire some days.

Well, senschirp still has Ottawa ranked as the most likely destination for Heatley so it's no like he's over selling it.  Although, as mentioned, it's crazy that he would have that much information.  As well, the idea of Havlat being included seems ludicrous to me...but that's just me.

I predict there will be no news today... just another Friday.

Chirp has come out and said this is not what he normally does and has been putting more info out there than he usually does. He certainly doesn't want to get labeled like that "other" rumour site we all loathe... I think he'll need to be cautious about how much he's putting out there.
