I was astounded at how long it had been since a comment was made in this thread... over two hours... I couldn't let that continue.

wish your comment involved that Heatley was traded, Murray got an acceptable package back, and there would be no more Heatley discussion, even though it has been very good for GM hockey in terms of traffic.

hfuzz is reporting a possibility of heatley to Philly, if there is any remote chance of that, and since Ek is a horrible source, there is no chance, but I would want Jeff Carter as part of that deal, anyone agree on that?

and we'd send heat, shubby and picard.

i'd do that deal ina second. giroux is gonna be awesome! he was promising during the year and great in the playoffs and that is what we need in ottawa. solid youth that know when it's important.

I like that deal as well, plus you are right, Carter is a franchise player, no way Ottawa would get him, not even straight up or Heatley +. I don't mind dumping Schubie either, not certain about Picard though.

would never be getting my hopes up for Heatley going anywhere, more than likely, he will be reporting to training camp whenever that begins, if he choses to, will be one hard room for him to walk into.

sensay did mention that he doesnt have any good concret information just passign on what he heard and since speklund has it out he pu tup what he heard

UPDATE 6:26 PM)- Dismissed by yours truly early last week I'm now hearing that the Vancouver Canucks may be gearing up for a pitch for Dany Heatley. As recently as last week I was told they were not going to be a factor but apparently that has changed.

Got an email earlier today that indicated the Canucks may be preparing an offer in the next couple of days. Sorry to drag you into this Canuck Fans!

That would be giving to much credit to bloggers though. That would mean that these sites actually have connections to the Sens (either directly or indirectly) and I don't believe that for a second.
