The criteria for a return is what differs, certainly.

I'm not really sure why BM let them try and arrange a deal on their own. Heatley's agents would only talk to teams on his "list" and thus only get lousy offers in return. If they thought BM would take a bad deal just to be rid of Heatley, they appear to have been sadly mistaken.

And I can't his agent(s) caring much about what Ottawa gets in return for Heatley, which makes sense that they leaked the trade request and list of teams in the first place.

What's to say it's Heatley that's holding out and "mulling things over" as the press has us believe? Could it be BM holding out for a better, sweeter offer?

I hope he is not holding his breath for this if the better offer includes adding Schremp to Smid, Penner, and Cogliano, because if he is, he will be turning blue very shortly after.

Heatley is waiting for an offer other than Edmonton. BM is waiting for other offers or for Heatley to cave in to the Oilers. It's a question of who blinks first.

It hasn't been two months. Heatley asked to be traded around mid-june right? That makes it 1 month. I'm with you tho, it feels like we've been doing it forever ... Sad
