Not to mention that Emil Sandin is another Zetterberg-light player. Alfie will help with him too - assuming he makes it - and I think he can.

Bass will probably get similar points to Neil, but will be a lot more defensively responsible. Bass doesn't really take bad penalties. He shows leadership, does what needs to be done, and will fight when he sees it necessary. Remember, this guy who's 6'1, 211 fought 6'7, 240 lbs of Boris Valabik, and fared pretty well. I'd love a line of him, Winchester and Ruutu as our fourth next year. Hopefully he gets time on the PK too.

Bass will undoubtedly out point Neil and is a lot faster and like you saiod; a penalty killer in disguise. You can really see this team starting to take shape, especially when the Heatley saga is over.

yeah same here, sure we can't replace what neil brought but between ruttuu & Bass(and according to you winchester, i've seen him try but mostly bounce off people) they can do a good job. i wonder if BM saw this coming and it was a reason he took in Ruttuu?

So Bruins bought out Schaefer and now have close to $2 million in buyout salary.

Rumor is Neil now realizes with Orr for 1 Million and both Brashear and McGratton looking at signing 1 Million dollar offers from the Rangers, that Neil has blown his chance at good coin. Murray is considering revising his offer down to 1.4 or 1.3.

Just a rumor...

Sometimes it pays to take the first offer, instead of shopping around...

He does have that "truculence" that Burke so evidently adores...

He does indeed. I would do that if I was Toronto. 2 million, meh, whatever, let's do it.

T.O. signed Orr, would they really take both? I'm guessing he ends up in Dallas or something...

You think he'd have a little too much pride to take that, if true. He might take a 1-year deal to prove that he can still be a 10-15 goal guy. Good luck, Chris.

Laughing3 I'm sorry, I would laugh really hard if Murray changed his offer to 1.4. That would be awesome.
