No problem. Even though they're too late to pick up a good FA to fill up that extra cap space it might be nice to have that space down the road. Like mentioned, I believe it was only speculation so it could very well mean the package itself must be beefed up. God, I hope so.

If this goes past midnight, but the deal was agreed upon by the teams prior, does that give him more time to make up his mind? Or does it have to be completed submitted for league approval without condition by 11:59:59pm?

The league office already changed the time from this morning to tonight so I wouldn't say it's impossible.

I was fearful of Lowe and Tambellini's plane crashing, thus keeping Heatley with the Sens. Honest to god, I'll take a half-eaten hot dog and a Betamax copy of Gretzky's old GWG commercial for Heatley. Heatley's value has dropped so much that only Edmonton is desperate enough for a star to take him. Goodbye and good riddance.

GIve Cogliano 1 or 2 years, he still put up 38 (18 goals) points while averaging 12 minutes. Gagner and Cogliano are basically at the same development level as a Foligno. All he needs is Clouston and MIke Fisher on his line.

As for Penner, well he couls help in front of the net on the 2nd PP UNit

Diddle it, I still hope he declines to waive. This trade offer is not enough IMO. And Murray seems like he's rushing to beat a deadline. Diddle that, I'd rather have a better package than be beaten in a trade.

Weird, because I'm just now hearing that the Wild are going to do something dramatic before the night is over. Could they be looking at Heatley?
