It's puzzling, because both times I stopped watching before the Blues made a comeback.
I watched the first period and eight minutes in the shots were 12-0 Red Wings, they had 2 goals and another disallowed one, and had the puck absolutely constantly. The Blues looked like an ECHL team in comparison.
It may be a case that the team is tired after three consecutive short summers. Being in Europe probably doesn't help either.
Obviously, you have to wait before making any moves. Osgood's not like Biron was for the Flyers or Lalime was for the Sens when they were dominant - he's proven again and again that when it matters, he's up to the challenge.
I suggested Craig Anderson for the Wings at the beginning of last season, but obviously that's a no-go at this point and right now, I'm not sure I see any Anderson 2.0s - unless the Wings want to target Brian Elliott.
It's still much to early to make any rash decisions, though.
