So anyone else think that none of the Sens prospects will surprise us this season?

Peter Regin will surprise people that don't know about him. He's for real.

Zach Smith will probably surprise a little as well, even if he goes back to the AHL.

The wildcard is potentially Jim O'Brien. What coach wouldn't want a big, burly kid to work with who loves to hit and has a laser beam for a wrist shot? Clouston could work wonders with him (better than Curtis Hunt IMHO).

That might be the off the board pick you're looking for.

Meh, I think's Smith "surprise" camp was last year. Everyone took notice of him then and has now made a name for himself within the organization.

Regin will be the kid that makes the most noise, will it be a surprise? Prob not. If anyone actually surprises the coach I think it will be Maldin for the simple fact not a lot of people know about the guy, and I was also impressed with him in a pre season game vs Philly where he played pretty well IMO. Speed to burn.

Maybe Glass found a magic lamp, made 3 wishes, and has turned into an OK AHL goaltender.

Mauldin's a great little energy player, I agree. But we need to re-sign him, he's a UFA and doesn't sound thrilled about playing in Bingo any longer.

Make or break time for him, next stop might be Europe. Anyways, thats who right now, I think would "surprise". There really are not a lot of secrets in Ottawa right now.

I'll stick with Jim O'Brien. Clouston probably can't wait to get his mitts on him.
