Fair enough. I think they are on to Heater's moves, and we'll have to wait until next season to see how it all plays out. Hopefully I'm wrong on this one. Wink

And I've seen one more than a dozen occasions AT LEAST where upon JUST crossing over the blue line spezza drops the puck back only to see it land on the opponents stick who WAITING there for it...

Agreed, why else are Spezza's turnovers so high, not that they keep that stat, or maybe they do, how many giveaways did he have?

I don't understand why the negativity is always centered around those two. What about Kelly? What about Neil? What about Phillips for that matter? All had brutal years compared to those before them. 39 goals, is still a pretty decent tally in today's NHL, not to mention Spezza's 32.

The Sens are going to be just fine. Trust me, those bandwagons will be full again next year.

How is 2 7 million dollar players, not finishing in the top 25 in scoring not a total disapointment!? Are you well? Bright spot? His point totals have gone down, and PPG average have gone consistantly since signing his new contract. Yup, great year by Spezza, def bright spot.

Do you believe what you say or are just totally blinded by the fact you love Spezza?

Spezza is a loser and alwyas has been. Again, never won a thing in his life.

Great game by these two in this tourney. I think we can at least agree on that right?

Do people actually put any stock in the fact we beat Belarus? Who cares, an all-star team of OHLers could prob beat them.

When the play someone else not worthy, we'll see how good Team Canada is.

Easy there jam... the reason we're talking about those two now is because... they were playing in the game we were watching.

Simple as that.

I was reflecting on the patented Heater "send me the puck so I can one-time it" move that is not so effective in the NHL anymore.

This was not a re-evaluation of the Sens' performance this year.

Wink

Nope, not at all. Spezza and Heatley are totally unpredictable. I never know whats coming.

They will have another good tune up game against Hungary, should be a bit more one sided than this game, so hope the Sens boys put up some big points in that one too, maybe Big Rig snipes a couple.

Not putting any stock in it other than giving credit for playing well against an opponent you're supposed to play well against. Can't say that about the Caps in their series. Mike Green and Ovie have combined for what? One goal? They were supposed to beat the Rangers who were playing so poorly near the end they could have missed the playoffs.

Point being, it doesnt even matter what these two do in this tournament short if being shoved down the depth chart.

If Heatley is the tourny MVP again, who cares, same with Spezza or Fisher, who cares. Its a tournament with extremely weak opponites and players who failed to either make it to the playoffs or got knocked out early.

There might be 2 or 3 guys from this team that are on the olympic team. Sure it would be nice if Canada won (I dont even think they will make it to the finals) but this tournament is more of a testiment to a Senators team that underachived and only played hard when they wanted to.

Its sickening that the Sens have the most players in this tournament of any NHL team. Pisses me off more than anything.

Didn't they come within mere minutes of winning the Gold last year? And it was neither Spezza nor Heatley's fault that they didn't.

So...technically, Spezza is a Silver Medal Winner. Yippie, but still...

Spezza has a few silvers, WJC too. You dont win silver (unless its the cup), you lose gold.

I absolutly hate this tournament. The only year it had any real merit outside of Europe was the lockout year. This is a tourny full of current losers.

Meh. Just don't watch or comment on it then.

I think it's great that they're there voluntarily for their country and doing really well.

The olympics are coming up so them going this year isnt exactly impressive. The only guys I'm somewhat happy for are Stamkos, Schenn, and Doughty.

Cant believe the Sens did all the damage today for The Canadians.
