I can only go from what others said about him in terms of this game, but most viewers were blown away by how big he looked on the blue-line. Wiercioch is easily in the 6'4-6'5 range.

Couple that with his enormous shot and are we developing another Souray?

Souray? Is that the player that comes to mind for you?

I was seriously thinking (now - I understand the stretch to compare him at this point) to a Bouwmeester style player.

Wiercioch is definetly mor like a Jbo or Dennis WIdeman type of player.

I like that Murray acquired Campoli. GIves Wiercioch at least 2 more years to develop properly. NO need to rush the kid, I am ready to wait for 3-4 full years of COllege if he comes here to become Jbo 2.0.

If he's really put on close to 25 lbs since last year I am very impressed. Doesn't sound like it's slowed him down or thrown off his timing. Another 15 lbs this off season and he'll be NHL-ready in the size department. Anyone know if he intends to finish his degree or come up to Bingo next year? Could he finish his degree by correspondence?

Boing. Really? That would be amazing.

I posted a link in another thread. It was from an interview dated just a few days ago.

I dunno. I haven't watched him very much.

Bouwmeester's just so fast.

Hope you all played hockey today on 'Hockey Day In Canada'...it was a perfect day for it!

We put down some fresh ice last night at our rink...it was fantastic this morning.

Apparently tonight's tilt between Florida and Boston is the Panthers' first sell-out of the season.

Playoff hockey is in the air in Florida, and the area is recognizing that.

Good on them. DeBoer has them playing some nice hockey (aside from being shutout the other night). They deserve the recognition.

Man, should definitely be a nice blue line in Ottawa in a few years.. I can't wait, By the sound of it, It's definitely going to be fun to watch...

I hope so because he is really the only promising player from the Hvalat deal.

Went to the canal with the kids. Unbelievable conditions. Great day to live in Ottawa.

I think that matches what Spezza accomplished today...

Sundin scores the winner in the shoot-out as the Canucks beat the Leafs.

Jokinen with a hattrick for the Coyotes in their win.

Oh ya, big points. 5 on 3 with 2 mins left down 3 goals, CLUTCH! The other one bounced off his stick by chance. A play totally created by Alfi and Campolli.
