With 4 goals and 2 assists tonight he know has something like 20 points in 7 games with the Knights (albeit he's only +5).

He and Kadri have really lit it up. JT has overtaken Hall for the points lead and overtaken DiBennedetto for the goal-scoring lead.

Wow. That's ridiculous. I'd take him on my team anyday. Just not over Hedman.

Give him one more goal and he'd be on a pace of 2G, 1A per game. :pale:

Yeah, he's really thriving. NYI might want to find a way to draft Kadri as well. Razz

Oh man, Edmonton is getting shellacked at home by Buffalo.

9-1.

Yikes.

Edmonton is another team who may be ready for a big shakeup.

I will take gagner or cogliano. THank you.

Maybe they'd be interested in Gerber. Wink

Seriously though, they need a defensive defenceman for their PK and a physical defensive forward, also for their PK.

Fisher/Vermette/Kelly and Smith/Phillips leap to mind. Surely a deal can be made here.

Holy smokes. Buffalo is in double-digits.

Granted the Oilers now have two goals.

Anaheim with 7, Minnesota with 6, Buffalo with 10, Tampa with 5.

Those guys missed hockey more than I thought during the break.

The 10th goal for Buffalo was a short-handed one, no less.

Remember when we used to be able to score more than 2 goals per game?

Phillips may actually waive to go to Edmonton too considering he's an Alberta boy. So let's say: Phillips and Vermette for what? Who's got some ideas?

I'd be asking for Cogliano as an opener and haggle from there.

:lol!:

Sad but true. I never would have believed our offense could run so dry for long stretches if I hadn't seen it.

Thanks to NHL Gamecenter, I watched the Jackets-Wings game, parts of the Lightning-Habs match, and a thrilling finish to the Panthers-Flyers tilt, all while seeing the Senators dance with the Devils on Sportsnet.

Some observations:

Lou Lamoriello and Brent Sutter have instilled a remarkable level of discipline and 'winner's culture' in their team.

Peter DeBoer does not let the Panthers' off ice problems distract him from getting his team to play better than it ever has in this decade.

Nash and Lecavalier, like captains worthy of the C, led their teams to upsets over two commonly accepted 'elite' squads.

Sad to say, talent without competitive fire sums up this year's Ottawa Senators.

And with all those points, my pool team got a grand total of six.
Crap.

5 teams with 51 pts in the west. Absolutely insane.

Marakh, the East is looking pretty crazy too...Buffalo, Florida, Carolina and Pittsburgh separated by three points and fighting for two playoff spots. Who woulda thunk it?

Monitoring last night's games, it's pretty clear that some teams are already playing playoff hockey, and those who aren't, are paying for it.

Watched some of the Panthers' demolishing of Montreal while catching parts of the thrilling Bruins-Devils contest.

Caught some of the Dallas dismantling of the Wings (at Joe Louis! where Marty T rarely, if ever, wins) before switching over to the Senators-Blues game for the duration.

Detroit does have a problem defensively, and it's not just Ozzy. But the Stars' ongoing comeback from their horrible start to the season, fueled last night by their hate of the Wings, is truly impressive.

The Blackhawks came out flat against the Kings and couldn't catch up. They need a solid faceoff man.

My two cents coming out of the ASG break:

San Jose, Boston and New Jersey are ready to compete for the Stanley Cup.

Calgary has the best shot at upsetting those three.

Detroit can be dethroned.

Montreal, Washington, the Rangers and Philly have flaws that can be exposed.

If Dallas and Florida make it into the playoffs, watch out for them.

Lots of amazing hockey coming up with big battles for post season berths looming both in the East and West.
:D :D :D

The West is insanely tight, with 5 teams tied at 51 points. I'd also add Columbus to the list of teams to watch out for should they make it.
