That would be a good thing.

I'd say we're pretty mean. Fisher, Neil, Volchenkov and Schubert are great hitters who will sometimes cross the line. Alfredsson, too, and he'll hit you with a puck as well. Then we've got Spezza spearing people and Sharko Ruutu.
I'd say we're mean enough. Kronwall and Stuart are hitters, they're not Chris Prongers though.
Chicago is another team that doesn't really have mean-ness but succeeds.
I'd much prefer targetting skill and speed than more intangibles.
Because, right now our results are intangible.

I say columbus needs to get at least 2nd in their division and into the 2nd round of the playoffs for him to win hart. right now I have a tough time arguing against Ovie repeating.hemlock wrote:Tukker wrote:this will be the first time a rookie wins the Vezina since The Eagle did it.
I'm saying it right now. If he continues this hot play and gets Columbus into the playoffs, not only will he win the Calder and possibly the Vezina, but I think the Hart trophy has to be talked about. No goaltender has ever won all 3 in their rookie year (obviously).

Now this Datsyuk/Lidstrom thing becomes a real controversy.
It took them OT to beat the Wings. Do you not think that adding the best defenceman in the game (although perhaps Weber beats him this season) and the reigning Selke winner/one of the best offensive forwards in the game might not change that, even if they are a little hurt?
If you're Vancouver or another team trying to make the playoffs in the West, aren't you upset about this?
I dunno. I was hoping Detroit would win this game so that it became a non-issue.

With 4 goals and 2 assists tonight he know has something like 20 points in 7 games with the Knights (albeit he's only +5).
He and Kadri have really lit it up. JT has overtaken Hall for the points lead and overtaken DiBennedetto for the goal-scoring lead.
