If you watched the game yesterday you would actually realize what an Elite player looks like, ie Nash, and just exactly what Spezza is.

Well I have to say that I thank God for finding this website so I can come here and have Neely4Life enlighten me with his all of his hockey wisdom

You've done a complete 180 on Spezza in the last 10 days. Its amazing to watch you get all emotional like this.

Spezza sucked HUGE last night and his effort was unforgiveable. I'm tired of watching a player with so much talent perform with so little effort.

I understand your aggravation but at least try to keep your opinion relatively consistent. You have some good insight into different aspects of the game, but your abrasive style and overly emotional reactions make it impossible to trust your judgment.

Spezza is a player who is still young and still has a ton of potential. That being said, I'm personally nearing the point where he could be pawned off to the highest bidder at the draft and - depending on the return - I could be completely in agreement with the decision.

This, however, is a learning year for all those involved in the organization - from the ice to beach. I'm willing to wait a little longer to see what we really have in Spezza.

He's shown flashes of brilliance in the past (as recently as two weeks ago) and he's done so against some of the best teams in the NHL.

Giving up on him now is potentially the greatest mistake in Senators history - even greater than choosing Redden - and a decision of that magnitude should not be entered into lightly or emotionally.

I wouldnt say a 180, more like a 150. Stupid me, I actually thought he might have turned a corner and taken a step towards becoming a player that could lead a team going forward. Guess that's my fault for looking at it with a glass 1/2 full attitude. I still try and move Heatley before Spezza, but like i have said all along, the NTC makes it pretty hard to do so.

I dont think letting Spezza go could EVER be any worse than letting Chara go. Chara is one of the most unique players to ever play in the NHL and we let him walk for nothing... well Muckler did. Even if trading Spezza turns out to be a mistake, it will never be on the same level as dealin Chara.

You know what else could be a giant mistake? Not trading Spezza and getting this for the next 6 years after this. 6 more years of this kind of hockey is enough to make me sick. 6 years of that lack luster, heartless hockey will drive me and many other away from SBP.

You either get rid of Spezza by the draft or there is no waiting for him to come around, you are stuck with him where he will even be in a more comfortable position than he is now. Spezza with his cash, an NTC, and a vet on the team that has NEVER been hed accountable for anything, wow...

Can anyone please tell me why Heatley hasn't been stripped of the A yet?

Because you can hold him or Spezza accountable for anything in Ottawa. Dont want to upset Mr. 50 goal man other wise he might play like garbage.

Your posts are for the most part to complain about someone else or their views. How is that any better?

Dude, you can write what he knows about hockey on a coster, dont worry about it. He proves how little he knows through most of his posts.

I'm not worried lol. I'm just curious to see what his response, if any, will be.

My posts are not to complain, at least they are intended to be, I am not the best at writing so it may come across that way.

Neely is so critical of the Sens it hardly seems like he is a fan. Yeah sure, the Sens suck this year and might suck next but fans like N4L are prime example of a band wagon fan.

I certainly wouldn't say it's bandwagon jumping. It's a realistic view if you ask me. Sure, he's incredibly vocal about his disdain for Spezza, and generally has a negative attitude right now about the team, but there isn't really anything to be excited about. N4L has always struck a nerve with some people because of his delivery. For the most part though, his analysis is pretty damn close. Your point about him not seeming like a fan because he is so critical can actually be used to prove the opposite point. If he didn't care about the team so much, would he spend this much time writing anything (good or bad) about them? I generally agree with his views (Spezza excluded, I still would like to think he could blossom), but sometimes the delivery comes off way too strong. Personally, I try to look past it because usually the message is spot on.
