Oh I agree Jammer. I was simply referring to how Auld looked against Florida I think it was last week. He looked visibly exhausted and was in need of a break of sorts, that's all.

Our goaltending is doing just fine, and you're right, it's not just the big 3 that have to step out of their funk...

Having said that, I would guess that if we score more goals than Gerber lets in, we have a good chance of coming away with a win.

We'll just have to wait and see.

I am going to increase our chances of winning tonight from "good" to "excellent" if we can score more goals than Gerber lets in.

Seeing as I'm a stats person (go figure being married to Dawg) I looked at Hartsburg's history with his goalies. Keep in mind the only reference I really used was the OHL and typically the Greyhounds had a starter that got 80% of the starts and a backup, but from what I could see whenever his backup either A) Played well and won the game he started or B) Played well when put into a game due to injury, or bad play by the starter, Craig typically played the backup the next game even if the next game was the next day.

With that said, I think you could justify Gerber starting because he had a shutout.

AND, as one conspiracy theorist put forth, the idea that Gerbs is being shown before going via the waiver wire to make way for Elliott.

Not sure if there's much stock in that, as I still believe we are going to keep Gerbs till June 30th; but rumors are rumors. LOL

I hope that isn't the case since we would probably only hinder Elliot's development if we brought him up now. He seems to be doing quite well taking on the full-time workload in Bingo, there is no reason to mess with that.
