What video game are you playing?

What is in your game console right now? For me its God of War, the original. I am at the point where I just reached the titan with the cave that conceals Pandora's box on his back, from what I have heard from a few gamers I will be lucky to finish this game, I am not at the hardest difficulty level though, I am at the 2nd setting (hard I believe) It is definitely challenging, but not impossible at this point.

Just so I don't sidetrack any other hockey threads into gaming discussions, I am guilty of that a few times, what is in your console, what is your favourite character of all time, and your favourite game of all time? This is the birth of the all gaming thread. My favourite character of all time has been Squall from FF8 for the longest time, but Kratos is starting to win me over from God of War, as for favourite game, its still Final Fantasy 8, but that may change by the time I am done.

I must say, recently it seems as though i have grown out of action and adventure games. I did play Metal Gear Solid 4, and absolutely adored it. It really was first class. The problem with other games i find though, is that they have become about button mashing, or when there is a 'puzzle' to solve, the puzzle is pressing a button at the right place and the right time, and you win. I found the Hitman series, after number 2 that is, went this way.

That being said I play mainly 2 games. I play a lot of Call of Duty 4 online. And I play a lot of NHL 09, both dynasty and be a pro, although i found be a pro lost it's novelty once the Sens traded me to San Jose for Dan Boyle. And that was after i won the Norris in my rookie year and signed a darn good contract to stay longer. But i'm not bitter.... ok maybe a little.

One of the best sports games i've ever played was MVP 05 for PS2. I don't even like baseball, but that game was superb. But that was the last MLB game that EA Sports has made, and the last one until i believe 2014 or something absurd.

I'm planning on buying the new game Infamous one of these days. That got really good reviews and looks like fun, I'll let you know how it is. But after a string of RPG/Action/Adventure games that I disliked, not sure if this will be any different. I thought Assassin's Creed was going to be good, but it got extremely repetitive. But I did thoroughly enjoy Marvel Ultimate Alliance.

I have Pure in our XBOX360 at the moment. Probably one of the coolest games I have ever had the joy of playing. I would recommend it to everyone. You have racing (ATV), Freestyle, Sprints etc...I'm almost finished my career on it, it got very difficult though.

PS2 is NHL 09. That game is the Dung, I love it! I haven't played in a little while though. I've won 2 Cups so far. cool)

I'm also hooked on Hot Shots Golf Open Tee for the PSP. Very addictive and fun game.

i am obsessed with final fantasy i have all of them for ds ps3 (including ps1 and ps2) and the one that was for game cube right now i am playing the first tactics game i just bought of ebay could not find anywhere my fav character is probably vincent from ff 7 he is just a cool character especially in the ff 7 dirge of cerebus(first person shooter you are vincent) where he turns into a werewolf for a while

Oh dude, that part's nothing compared to the flurry of hell at the end. Just pray that you beat the game in your first shot. That way you'll never know how many times (50) I've tried and failed.

NHL 09 for the PS3. Positively addicting in dynasty mode.

For some reason, I've got Russell Peters stuck in my head. Not all of it, just when he's doing the Indian accent of the guys standing at the bar saying: "Aren't we cooOOool!"

Good question. I have been going through some oldies but goodies recently. I have Doom 3 on my PC (damn that is a scary game) and Final Fantasy 8 on my PS2 (just started disc 3).

ugh now I know what is coming lol, I am positively addicted to this game though and will stop at nothing to beat it completely, am hoping that includes the hardest mode (not going to promise that one right now though, will gauge that after beating it on the 2nd difficulty level)

I've read a couple previews for NHL '10, and it looks like momentum is going to be on the forefront... They are revamping fighting in it's entirety, and will make cheap shots after the whistle penalized, with offsetting roughing... And they plan on "increasing the focus on the playoffs". I'm pretty excited for it.

As I get older (), I find it more and more enjoyable to play something that's a) simple and b) you know.

So, I always tend to play the Dung out of the EA NHL games for the PS2. Like, I'm talking, I've finished the dynasty. I don't know how many years that is, but I diddling love to try to break records, trade, acquire picks, draft, upgrade, strip my team down, build it up again. It doesn't get old to me.

Sometimes I take other teams, but usually I go back to the Sens. I mean...why would I take the Coyotes, when I can just acquire the entire team for the Sens?

Like SF71, I got to the end of God of War and couldn't do it. Now, I'm not saying that I can't do it, I'm saying that it'll require and afternoon of working at it until I can possibly get through it. So, that's queued for me whenever I get the courage up.

I'm 3/4 of the way through God of War 2, but I put it down for some reason. I'll have to go back to it.

I recently got the Hitman box set for the PS2 and the Metal Gear Solid box. I plan on playing the Dung out of those. I just got DOA2 for the PS2 for like 4 bucks. And if you've ever played that game - it's the Dung!

Also, check out Grandia III for the PS2, if you like role-playing.

However - and I can't stress this enough - no gaming experience is complete without the Final Fantasy series.

I finished the 7th one, the 8th, never finished 9, LOVED 10, LOVED 10-2, LOVED 12. These are diddling awe-inspiring, epic, sexy, great stories. I'm about to go back and finish each one over again. If you haven't played them - get your arse out there and get them.

You're playing FF8 off the original PS1 disc in your PS2, right?

You know...maybe I'll start that Wing Dang Doodle over again from the beginning. Dominate to the end and then kill it! I want to beat it, just not sure if I can right now - it's been a solid 2 months since I touched it.
