Found this on the SensArmy blog:
http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/898/898201p1.html

Robitaille, Lapointe, Richardson are still on the Sens roster, while Bass, Lee and Winchester are not (no, I don't think that means anything :D ).

Alfie, Heater and Spezza are all rated 95 in "offensive awareness". By comparison, Crosby is 99, and Malkin is 97.

Oh man, Brian Lee isn't in the game? Boo...that sucks. I guess all version will have online updates, but couldn't EA have the foresight to put him in? Actually, same with Bass now that I think about it.

Actually, I heard that the Wii version will not have online updates. Which is weird, since the Wii has wireless built-in and has a set of out-of-the-box internet-enabled "channels" (applications). I use the weather forecast fairly frequently.

Yes, there is a list of banned words, and R-e-d-d-e-n is one of them. I can't find Reddden anywhere -- he's not in the Sens list, the Rangers list, or the list of free agents (below the Western Conference teams).

Can't they update the rosters online and just have people download the most up to date rosters?

Who do you mean by "they"?

I hope I'm wrong, but I remember reading that the Wii version will not use internet updates. Or was that for Guitar Hero? I may have been confused.

Anyhow, the Wii has pretty good iinternet connectivity with the built-in wireless, so I see no reason for them *not* including it.

P.S. I won't have any problems if Reddden is not included :D

I'm so excited for this game. By the way, might as well share it with everyone, but there is a certain method to obtain NHL 09 for a lot cheaper than its actual MSRP. You just need to trade in two games at EB and add 9.99 on top of that to reserve your copy when it hits shelves. There is also a wikipedia list on the internet for 'Buy-Back Value (BBV)' of games that can help you find games that have high trade-in value (or at least the 8 dollar minimum trade-in value (TIV) that EB wants for the two games) but don't cost much to buy.

Please provide links. A quick search on Wikipedia (for "BBV, TIV, the expanded acronyms, with and without dashes) proved futile.

There's an excel sheet at this link (by the way, phenomenal site) that they update almost every day with the trade-in value of games. If you browse some more around the site, you can find a link to a wiki entry with the trade-in value for every game for every console.

I just realized that NHL09 is not available on the Wii; only NHL 2K9. I've looked at some of the clips, and (as I expected) the Wii graphics are no match for the PS3 or 360. I'm hoping they get ir right with the remote and nunchuk, since graphics is way behind gameplay in terms of importance (the Xbox 360 ping-pong made my jaw drop when I saw it at EB Games, but after a few minutes playig it it was quite boring; and the lifeless faces of the players also made it creepy).

Anyhow, here are a few links (taken from another forum):
