Not sure what you mean. Canada has been the better team but barely enough to overcome the weird refereeing.  They need to stay put off the stupid stuff.  Don't know why Nurse jumped Eichel.  Should have told the ref that he heard him say something racial.  Only reason to jump him.

Canada is by far heads and shoulders better than any other team this year. They've dominated.

Not in goal.  The Russians best them in the exhibition game with great goaltending, and Demco outplayed Comrie today.  Dammit, Lazar had the GWG.  I now it was tipped and all, but dammit!

He had to be better than Comrie. And Lazar didn't get the GWG

I *know* he didn't get it. He *HAD IT*, get it? Until Comrie let the softie in.

Happy New Year everybody!

I have to drive my "cranky oldest" to work for a 7AM shift tomorrow. Happy New Year. Good news is that he's taking a new job at another Walmart's Vision Care center. He'll take the bus to and from and likely stay in residence pretty the whole time.

That "Ole Ole Ole" chant was stupid. Way to be classy, Montreal. That was embarrassing.

They scored not long after they started it up. I swear, it spurred the USA players on a bit. It's like taunting. Not sure why it's so popular among the soccer crowds other than they are drunk and idiots to begin with.

Anyone else feeling a bit let down because of the stupid McDavid Eichel hype? Neither one impressed, to be honest. McDavid plays a bit tougher, it seems, even though he's the smaller of the two. Eichel had a few moves but when they got down by 2 he practically disappeared.

It's easy to have a big game and score impressive goals against Germany (that wraparound goal he scored looked like Crosby against his old timbits team).

That said, he put a move on Nick Paul for that PP goal.

The only thing I feel let down by is the strength of my hangover.

Always nice to watch the US lose. The refereeing was actually pretty good. The US earned all their penalties except maybe one. This was another highly entertaining game.

I'm in Kingston for a tournament. Just like last year. But I forgot to bring my Team Russia jersey Sad

Loving it, though. I replied to someone's tweet David Bland, I think) who said something like see you in the gold medal game, and I for them not to count out Russia. What a strange team. Lay an egg against the Czechs then beat USA.

Two goals for Lazar tonight. That *is* more than he had all season for the Senators.
