Anyone doing a fantasy league?

I just joined a league with some people from my work. I'm wondering if anyone from here is doing a league. If so, let me know and I'll join if it's open to the public.

I would love to but i just started university again and i'm swamped. i'll be lucky to be able to catch all the games I can.

I can set one up again if there is enough people interested.

I like the CDM sports league's with a salary cap. It's a little pricey but it's a league where a lot of luck is taken out and you can make projections on your own... don't need the luck of the draw. Pretty sweet actually.

I'm doing an online draft right now but message board. It's not an open pool and I am completely unprepared. Just grabbed Spezza with my first pick (Karlsson was gone). I was picking 8th (out of 9) so I get to pick again after the last guy takes two. Maybe I'll grab Letang (it's 9F, 4D, 2G in this league, already had Karlsson and 2G gone in the first 7 picks).

We should set one up through Yahoo. We can set a time for the online draft, but people can also go in a pre-rank players, allowing the computer to auto-draft for them based on their rankings. I'll look in to doing this...it'll have to come together pretty quick. Let me know if you interested by posting here. Not worth doing if it's only a couple people.

Hey, quick question. I've got one last pick. The pool will have 81 forwards (9 teams, 9 each), straight points. Your lowest doesn't count. I've already got Spezza, Michalek and Alfredsson (I was picking 8th and Karlsson went top 4th overall, I think). Would I be insane picking Turris or Silfverberg? Last year, same pool, I was picking near last again so I ended up loading up on the Sens (including Karlsson and Anderson) -- got a bit of ribbing for those picks, until I finished 2nd (hence my #8 picking order).

Other potential picks (on my list, at least) are Benn, Backes, Jokinen, Horton, B. Schenn, Parenteau.

OK, thanks for nothing, guys. I ended up taking Silfverberg.

Why would you take Silfverberg over Benn or Backes? Why is Benn still available anyway..

As to why I would take Silfverberg, I enjoy watching the players I pick and cheering them on. Although I'll be conflicted tomorrow -- I also got E. Kane. But since I don't have Anderson I guess it doesn't really matter.
