Pretty ballsy by Katz considering he and the owners have taken away hockey from the city of Edmonton. If I was CC I would tell him to go f*** himself.

He's got some smoothing over to do...

Gary Bettman was named NHL commissioner 20 years ago today... interesting legacy he has... a mix of good and bad. He certainly made the owners a lot of money by increasing the revenues of the NHL significantly. But he also has three lockouts under his belt and the Phoenix Coyotes disaster.

Precisely.

A worse story I read was about a mall Santa being a prick to a little girl because they didn't buy a 20$ picture.

It was probably Upshall.
Suck it Phaneuf!!!

No 67s players, no Sens' prospects. I'm out. Team Russia (especially against the 'Merkins).

This will be the first WJC to have that many draft elligible players. The consensus best 5 players (except Monahan) will all be there:
Drouin and Mackinnon for Canada
Seth Jones USA
Barkov for Finland
Lindholm for Sweden

As for Canada, I actually like what they've done. Way more skill and less grit compared to past years. Some chemistry too. Drouin/McKinnon, Camara/Scheifele, Strome/Ritchie

I think they should've had Monahan on the team, but other than that, it's hard to argue with their roster.

Good on him.

Good on him. He was in bad shape when he was in Ottawa and turned his career around, more importantly his life.

McGrattan holds the all-time AHL record for PIMs in a season with approximately 550. I always enjoyed watching him go toe-to-toe with whoever...and especially when he knocked out Domi.

Spengler Cup? I'd have to turn down the brightness and contrast on my set. Is it worth it?
