There's nothing wrong with learning a little humility. I speak from experience. A *LOT* of experience.

Oh, crap, I forgot it's a west-coast start. I take the puck hasn't dropped yet? Good thing I didn't upload the spreadsheet yet.

I deleted my earlier post as it might be giving something away.

Spreadsheet uploaded:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/955066/2011_PlayOffs_Pool.xls

I've added a column "autopick" -- those are the picks for home team winning in 7 games in each series. It's tied for 3rd.

Hilarious. A "do nothing" approach finds itself in 3rd.

VAN in 4 gets me THE WIN!!!!!

I see I could have safely chosen VAN in 5 too. Oh well.

How many bonus points for correctly guessing the number of games in this round? 4?

8, actually. It double every round. Every round is a maximum of 24 points, with one-third of the total coming from bonus points (since bonus is always half of what you get for picking the team).

I didn't even bother running the scenarios, I knew I had to pick Boston. Question was, how many games. Boston in 7, baby!

The only scenario that gets me a win is if I'm the only one that correctly guesses the winner and # of games. We shall see...

I got excited thinking I could sneak ahead of you, but Hobiesens has one more point than I do and also picked Van in 5. So I could, but Hobiesens will, without question, stay ahead of me. Dammit! Hobiesens!

Flo also beats you by a point in that scenario... you end up in 3rd.
