I think they can move Kuba in the summer but even if they don't his play has picked up lately and I don't think buying him out will be an option based on that. If a buyout was an option Melnyk would save real money have Cowen in the lineup plus the Kuba buy out next year.

We'll see I guess. I just don't believe he'll be bought out in his final year. Ideally though, he plays well enough to be able to move him, yeah.

Kuba still has enough value to be moved in a trade. A team that misses out on July 1 and needs a D will be looking for one and Kuba can probably be had real cheap.

I think that same logic applied today too though. If you ask me, he's going to have to show improvement. Next year he'll be expiring which will certainly help our cause.

It's a little different because some teams want to see what they have going forward. In the summer teams are trying to set their lineup and fill holes that need to be filled.

Everything that has happened this year in terms of trades has been to save real $$$.

If they can't trade Kuba I can definately see them buy him out.

I am surprised the Genius wasn't able to pull off anymore epic trades, showing those other NHL GMs how it's really done.

Because people are obsessed with the cap and not real money. I think Kuba's improved play is encouraging.

Well, good 2 1/2 weeks by Murray. He did exactly what needed to be done, has a ton of draft picks to work with, and made sure the best interest of the organization, both Ottawa and Bingo, was served.

Lehner down to Bingo is a great move that is going to go over looked today. Be interesting to see if they sign Mac and Anderson going forward.
