I heard last night that J-Bo declared that he would go to July 1st whether he was dealt or not.

Maybe the Flames do know that but still want to start things off and get a head start. Comme July 1st they already have some dialogue going.

It would be amazing for Calgary.... Only Ek has reported it so well have to wait and see.

Jay was pretty set on testing the market so im a little shocked he would sign before testing the waters.

Cammaleri said he wasnt coming back for sure so... Ottawa needs to do something in a big way just to stay competitive in The East or its going to be a total rebuild.

Good for Calgary though, they just got a lot deeper on that blueline and Kipper's work load should probably decrease with that blueline. Not sure if they can give up Jokinen though at that price.

This would be everywhere if it were true, expecially TSN and NHL.com but I don't read it anywhere?

I won't believe it until there's confirmation. $6.3M is low, especially with the cap going up instead of down.
