So last night I was having a conversation with someone about our beloved team and was told that the Sens should trade Alfie now in order to build up the quality of the depth on the team while adding to our second line. The conversation turned into a agree to disagree with my thoughts that Alfie will retire a Sen and the only way the Sens would ever entertain trading him was if he asked for the trade or they went into a complete rebuild by the deadline and wanted to give him a chance to win a Cup. I really do believe that he will not go anywhere else and he is a Sen for life. Thoughts?

This is a very interesting debate and it could be argued either way. I'm obviously biased and would not like to entertain the idea of moving Alfie at any point in his career except perhaps IF we knew it was his last season and Ottawa had zero chance of winning, then I'd pull a Ray Bourque for him and hope it worked out :D

Other than Malkin and Zetterberg, name one other player who makes less than 5 million and is a one hundred point player?

Shawn Horcoff and Corey Perry make more than Alfredsson...why would we ever even consider trading him to "build our depth."
No matter what the return was, we wouldn't get back all that we were losing. It would be a negative gain.

In that case, check out "Cat Chaser". You'll know her even better than after Witness.

Isn't Kelly McGillis gay?? LOL

And I agree with Clutch, this Alfie trade thing could be argued for days.
As far as I can figure, I would only trade him if HE asked for one; otherwise, I think #11 will be hanging from the rafters and Alfie will retire a Sen.

He's had a few nice beards. Nicole Kidman, Rebecca DeMornay, Mimi Rogers, Penelope Cruz and now Katie Holmes.

Not too shabby for a gay fella.
