Don't know if you've played MGS4, but that game is absolutely stellar. Sadly it was my first Metal Gear Solid experience, and my friend had to explain a lot of the back story to me. The game in all took me about 40 hours to beat, so needless to say, extremely deep. It's really good.

I finished the first one on PS1, then I bought the 3 pack for PS2 and haven't done it yet. I'll have to get back into it.

Hey, Heater. Since you're into Muppets, check this out.

Hahaha. I don't have sound at work, I'll have to wait until I get home. Some of it is quite freaky looking though.

PS..I've wanted to make an R-rated Muppet short/movie for a while. I think it would be hilarious.

Well then, Heater, have I got a movie for YOU!!
Most of you know me as horror movie buff, and so I can remember about 10 years ago or so being at a friends house and watching a movie his older brother had called "Bad Taste." It's HILARIOUS and one of Peter Jackson's early unknown flicks. Right after he completed that, he put out a feature called "Meet The Feebles", which is freakin' HILARIOUS!! It's basically an R-rated/NC-17 rated Muppet movie. If you can come across it, you won't be sorry dude. Trust me!

Half the fun is watching Meet the Feebles or Bad Taste and then watching the Frighteners or Lord of the rings trilogy to see just how far Peter Jackson has come with NO formal training!

EDIT: It's not discontinued yet! Check it out!

Ha! I love those Peter Jackson movies, Cron! Another good one is "Dead Alive". It's along the lines of Bad Taste and Meet the Feebles. Another one of his great movies is Heavenly Creatures. One of Kate Winslet's first films. It's awesome.

Switching from placeholders Bullwinkle J Moose and Jim Pappin, I decided to use my Ivan Boldirev avatar I also use for the excellent Hawks thread by Al Cimiglia on HoBzz (which I rarely read nowadays).

Ivan Boldirev is the only forward in NHL history to get his name engraved on the Stanley Cup before actually playing a game (as a spare for Bruins in 1970).

Boldirev, born 1949 in Serbia in the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, was the Bruins 1st choice (11th overall) in the 1969 draft. He played 15 NHL seasons (1969-1985) with the Bruins, Seals, Hawks, Flames, Canucks and Wings.

His Wiki bio describes him as "An elegant center, Boldirev was noted during his career as one of the sport's best stickhandlers."

I remember his years as a Blackhawk when he consistently scored 25-plus goals (reaching 35 one year) and 60-plus points a season, as the eventual successor to Stan Mikita. He was a very cool player with a very cool name that could have come out of a James Bond movie.

"Mr. Bond...my name is Boldirev. Ivan Boldirev."

Oh dude, I own most of those as well. Dead Alive is one of my guilty pleasures...Up there with Raimi's Evil Dead. Truly Fantastic!!

Remember that baby from dead alive? or better yet, that priest with the classic line: "I kick Donkey for the Lord!" Priceless!!

Yeah Ive done them all (even the old ones on MSX, the psp versions...).
MGS 3 is definitely the best IMO in terms of character depth and story (during the cold war). ANd that russian James Bond vibe was definitely epic.
MGS4 is definitely top notch in terms of production value, gameplay etc. But MGS3 is the only video game ever made that made me cry... The ending is too sad. Crying
I definitely recommend you to check out the Trio collection (MGS1,2,3) that 504Heater is talking about. In terms of gameplay and graphism it will probably feel pretty old, but the story is gonna make you scratch your head :pirat:

EDIT: Heres a good appetizer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0JcajevKJEI&feature=PlayList&p=AB5D50F8402748FA&index=0&playnext=1

Mine's a Cylon Centurion from the "re-imagined" Battlestar Galactica TV series. Love the mini-series, season 1 and most of season 2. It went quickly downhill from there. The "Centurion" is, of course, a reference to the Senators' logo.

Now that the show's almost done, I have to start looking for a new one. I'm not really much into changing avatars (except during playoffs -- remember those touched-up Pingu avatars?)

I'll definitely check out those videos, thanks... Unfortunately I bought the PS3 that's not backwards compatible with the PS2, and when I got the PS3, I gave my old PS2 to charity. Figured some kid would use it more than me. Hopefully they'll release it on the PSN or something, and i'll be able to play it on there. Time will tell.

I've been switching back and forth between Karlsson and Hedman.

Right now it's Karlsson because with the team so poor (especially in the puck-movement department) it's nice to remember that there are things to look forward to.

BTW, Karlsson with a goal and an assist today.

Currently is the Brampton Battalion logo, my 'new' hometown team and a team I get to broadcast at every home game (thanks Rogers).

I used to have Trevor Doyle's (a local Ottawa folk-hero) picture. After that I had David Puddy sporting the Devil's face paint.

Mine's Samuel L. Jackson from a clip he did with Chris Chelios... He pretends to be one of Chelios's junior coaches... It's pretty funny, i'm pretty sure you can see it on youtube, under "inglewood Jack"...

You can play the 1st one though. PS3 plays Ps1 games. MGS1 is my second favourite, and probably the best of the series in terms of boss characters and audio conversations.

Mine's Hugh Dillon. Pic taken from the movie "Hard Core Logo". He's also the lead singer of my all-time favourite band The Headstones (now defunct).

You can now see Hugh on the CBS/CTV show Flashpoint, a Canadian made show which has been picked up by the americans. I like it very much. He also sang a song for the show during the first season called "Lost at Sea". You can hear it here:
