Alright, I used to love making my head cramp and hurt attempting to solve some riddles or brainteasers and I thought I'd throw a few out there seeing as I'm not getting ANY news from friends or Sources as far the Senators are concerned.

1) What english word retains the same pronounciation, even after removing 4 of it's 5 letters?

2) A man was to be sentenced, and the judge told him, "You may make a statement. If it is true, I'll sentence you to four years in prison. If it is false, I'll sentence you to six years in prison." After the man made his statement, the judge decided to let him go free. What did the man say?

Enjoy!

2) The man said, sentence me to six years. That's the only answer I can think of because it contradicts both statements. If the judge actually is sentencing him to 6 years, then his statement would be true, and he's have to sentence him to 4 years. If his statement is false, then he has to sentence him to six years, which means that the statement would be true which means he contradicted himself. But I don't know why he'd decide to let him free. Maybe the judge was too ashamed of being shown up by the man?

As for number 1, I'd probably need to think it over a bit.

A riddle if you will:

The one who builds it, doesn't need it.
The one who needs it, doesn't use it.
And the one who uses it, never sees it.

What is it?

I tried. And, I sucked. Oh well, I'll just settle for answering them then.

Come on. I don't even golf and I got it.

1. Three people check into a hotel. They pay $30 to the manager and go
to their room. The manager finds out that the room rate is $25 and
gives $5 to the bellboy to return. On the way to the room the bellboy
reasons that $5 would be difficult to share among three people so
he pockets $2 and gives $1 to each person.

Now each person paid $10 and got back $1. So they paid $9 each,
totalling $27. The bellboy has $2, totalling $29.

Where is the remaining dollar?

2. An Arab sheikh tells his two sons to race their camels to a distant
city to see who will inherit his fortune. The one whose camel is
slower will win. The brothers, after wandering aimlessly for days, ask
a wise man for advise. After hearing the advice they jump on the
camels and race as fast as they can to the city. What does the wise
man say?

3. Start with a half cup of tea and a half cup of coffee. Take one tablespoon
of the tea and mix it in with the coffee. Take one tablespoon of this mixture
and mix it back in with the tea. Which of the two cups contains more of its
original contents?

4. I know a word of letters three. Add two, and fewer there will be.
What is the word?

5. There is a long, twisting corridor with a room at the far end. At the near end there is a wallplate with three switches. One of them controls the light bulb in the room. The door is closed and, anyway, with the twists in the corridor you could not see the light from your end. What is the minimum number of trips you must take to the room to find out which switch controls the bulb?
