Drouin-Deslauriers - Is he for real?

Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers, rookie goaltender of the Edmonton Oilers, is now 3-0, with a very impressive showing last night against the NY Rangers.

Reports are saying that he may bump Roloson and Garon for the top spot...

I'm picking him up in my pool just in case!

He looks like Tag or whatever the guy's name was that Jennifer Anniston's character was smitten with in Friends. Remember?

And yes he is for real... they were saying pre-season that he would be contending for the #1 spot, making Rolie even more expendable in the ultimate year of his contract and at $3.667. Garon outplayed Rolie last year too. Lucky for the person who has Edmonton in the GM league.

Looks more and more like NJ will get one of Rolie or Garon...interesting...I didn't even know about this Deslauriers kid...craziness.

I watched the highlights on TSN from the game. He's definitely making Garon/Roli expendable.

Then again, Roloson has been available for some time (supposedly) and there haven't been any takers.

I wonder if Roloson is a decent Gerber replacement

Could be an interesting option if Auld fizzles out. For now, ride the hot hand.

Edmonton are trying to get rid of his salary, not take a guy back who's making just as much as he is.

Gerber's actually more expensive by a minuscule amount - 3.7 vs. 3.667
