Kastelic and Kelly are legit fourth liners. Looking solid.

Formenton isn’t a guy we should try to part with unless we have to.
He’s not Pageau but he brings a lot of what Pageau was for us.
He’s a guy that will definitely help us win.

He’s better than pageau offensively

Kelly takes a lot of careless penalties.  He'll have to reign that in next year

Well he’s having an excellent year and I think they bring that same kind of difficulty for other teams as they are both PK specialists and with their speed create opportunities to score SHG although I think Pageau was a little better but this is just the beginning for ForMenton.

At any rate, I wouldn’t want to pet ways with him. He’s proving he cane play top 6 and flirt with 20 goals. Ok, he’s likely been allowed better minutes than he’d normally be but if he’s on a third line with Pinto I think he could very well put up similar number.

I’d be very weary to trade him.

Looks like we’re likely to draft in the 7th or 8th spot.
It be great to win the lottery of course.

So IMO we have a 4th line pencilled in at Kelly-Kastelic-Watson. We have Formenton-Pinto-Brown as our 3rd line. And a top six of Norris, Tkachuk, Batherson, Stutzle. We're missing two top six players .

Defense: Chabot, Sanderson, Zub, Hamonic, Holden + one of Brannstrom, Del Zotto, Zaitsev, Thomson, JBD or UFA.

Goaltending: Forsberg + Murray or Gus

Is this good enough for a playoff spot ?

Will totally depend on the offseason moves. Right now the sens are the best of the non playoff teams in the east outside of NYI, in my opinion. They have the second best goal differential out of all the non playoff teams in the East and had some much go against them this year. There’s no reason we won’t be a bubble contender at least

You haven’t slotted Joseph anywhere.
I do agree that we need an upgrade in the top 6. One of those will come hopefully with Giroux. I could see Conor brown shifting to the left.
You have
Tkachuk Norris Bath
Brown stuezle Giroux
Formenton Pinto Joseph (thats going to be a fast line)
Then a mix and match of guys on the fourthline.
I would have liked to pencil white on the fourth but I don’t think the team plans to have him here next year. We’ll see what that trade looks like.

That’s a pretty capable top 9 right there.
Id only like a slight upgrade with a top 4 D coming in and this is starting to look like a playoff team.
Chabot - trade/zub
Holden/Sanderson- trade-zub
Holden/Sanderson - Harmonic

Extra MDZ and you work in Lassi and JBD with injuries.
I would imagine Brannstrom is a key piece in a trade for a top RHD.

To me, moving on from Zaitsev and Tierney are the moves (well, one of those isn't a move but a sit-still-and-do-nothing) that will get us pretty darn close to the bubble. Forsberg playing at least as many games as Murray, too (and if Murray is playing more games that Forsberg that's a good thing as it means he's not sucking). Even without Sanderson playing as a true top-4 D I think *not* having Zaitsev and Tierney in the lineup makes us better by a non-trivial amount. Then consider the gains Stutzle has shown just in this season. If they stay healthy, they flirt with a playoff spot *without* additional moves (top-4 D, top-6 RW).

Connor brown is not a top six forward. He's a third liner. I'd prefer Joseph goes back to the top line as a role guy and moving bath to L2 with Giroux

If not for Covid this would have been their third straight trip to the post-season. Looks like Lodin was a great pick up with (I think) 5 goals in 9 games. I wonder if they would let Sanderson have a game at the NHL level before sending him to the B-Sens. Remember, UND was definitely thinking he'd be in if they got to the Frozen Four or even the Regionals. We are well past that point now.

Pinto taking line rushes and skating in a regular jersey. Three games left - nice to see him play in at least two of them

Edit: Turns out Pinto, White, C. Brown are done for the season. B Sens don't play until Saturday. Kastelic and Sabourin getting the call up. Not sure why Sokolov isn't getting into a game or two. This continued support for Sabourin continues to boggle my mind. Sure he played fine against Montreal but give a legit prospect a sniff. Sens play Florida, NJ and Flyers to end the season. Zero reason to address an enforcer.

Apparently he's having problems gripping his stick. I suspect he'll play at the WHC this summer. Probably doesn't play at the World Juniors or for Belleville but I am just speculating.

I don't think we need to be concerned with a game or two at the end of a meaningless season. The focus should be on ensuring Belleville is as prepared as possible for the playoffs now, and maybe that includes keeping key pieces down there, remaining as focussed as possible on the AHL playoffs.

Remember when people thought Vegas was a great organization? Wonder if mark stone is regretting his decision

I still think they should throw a bone to a couple of guys even if it's just one game. Give em a taste, get their confidence up a bit, and pull them back.
