He's shooting at nearly 15%, which is not sustainable. Sure, the assists will keep going but the goals are likely to cool off.

Pageau was skating in a non contact jersey. He's on the road trip with the team but there is no so scheduled time yet.

Pyatt is on the top line (Duchene, Batherson). Boucher said this was to improve the line's defensive responsibility. Pyatt's defensive numbers are bad. Possibly worse than his offensive stats, and that's saying something.

I can't believe that re Pyatt. He was on the ice yesterday for one shot attempt for and 20 against

Pyatt was good his first year here. Not great but then we didn't really expect much. He wasn't good last year and terrible this year. Any other team he would have been waived long ago.

Lol, holy crap. But they had last change so I assume he saw a lot of Benn and Seguin

Big trade between Chicago and Arizona. Underachieving first rounders for an underachieving first rounder.... but you know one of those guys will probably be good. Just remains to be seen who. Talk about selling low on your guys

Geez...that's a surprising trade

Not really a big trade when you consider they're all underachieving.

The trade, by the way, is Chicago trading Nick Schmaltz to the Arizona Coyotes for Dylan Strome and Brendan Perlini.

Hextall pulled.

Yeah Hextall gets canned. I guess not overly surprising given Philly's run of mediocrity and his inability to get a goalie.

In other news, Shea Weber is returning to the Habs' lineup, and they needed a roster space. They plaed Karl Alzner (one of the worst recent FA signings) on waivers. Alzner makes $4.6M per year (he's under contract until 2022) and had 12 points in 82 games last year. He's been healthy-scratched a bunch this season already.

At any rate the stromes have not come as advertised in their draft year. Two big let downs.

I’m not sure how I feel on hextall. I thought he was doing a really good job getting young players but that may be the scouting team that’s always been there in philly.
I’m not sure what happened there but I have a feeling Hexall still saw the team as rebuilding and Holmgreb thought it been enough.
That Brayden Schenn deal probably hurt him too.

Ironically it's goaltending that screws hextall

Why he (or anyone for that matter) thought Elliot could be anything more than a good back up is beyond me

No options I guess. I don't know why he wasn't more aggressive on the trade market for a young guy.

Lehner was an option. Would have been a crowd favorite.

More firings in philly. Must be a stressful environment to be in right now. You know the coach and players are next to go.

The GM said that the new coach would come in and decide on the fate of their current coach lol. What a position to be in for him.
