Hopefully the refs can be professional and not show negative bias against Ottawa because of Rose being in the lineup.

Given how the refs have performed they last few years I hold little hope of professionalism.

A bit of a silly game with the frozen field and players slipping constantly.

That punt return for a touchdown at the end of the first half really sunk the Redblacks. All they had to do was punt it out of bounds.

Yes that was the dagger. But first throw to Ellingson right on the money and he just drops it. Harris is a little high strung, I find, and loses composure, sometimes. I really thought that first play screwed with his mind and it took nearly the rest of the half to get him back into the right frame of mind.

Yeah, Ellingson had a couple balls that were tough catches but were the kinds of plays you need the in a championship game. Sinopoli also had a drop that they needed for a first down in the second half that was very costly.

Wonder what the outcome would have been if they played on a decent field. Might have still lost but at least we wouldn't be tempted to blame the conditions.

Well, at the very least, if the field conditions weren't so slippery, I doubt that that punt-return TD would've happened. Defenders were unable to change direction to tackle him.

But whatever, the Stamps were the better team yesterday and deserved the W.

Wonder who will be left next year. Lots of free agents. 26, to be exact, including Harris, Sinopoli, Powell, Spencer, Rose, Mateas, Madu.


Ricky Ray is done and Bo appears headed to the NFL. We could have a bidding war on Harris.

He can test the options, but he'll be 29 this winter and isn't likely to get a backup job.

Yeah, by all means try, but the odds are slim. When is the last time a CFL QB became even a backup in the NFL.
