Montreal is suddenly hot with the return of Carey Price, and just ahead of us in the standings.  Time for Ottawa to stop the excuses and come out with a flawless effort.

Anderson's last game was tremendous, so hopefully he continues where he left off.

These were the lines from practice yesterday (shamelessly stolen from https://leftwinglock.com/line-combinations/ottawa-senators/?team=ottawa-senators&strength=EV&gametype=GD):

MIKE HOFFMAN MATT DUCHENE MARK STONE
ZACK SMITH DERICK BRASSARD BOBBY RYAN
RYAN DZINGEL JEAN-GABRIEL PAGEAU TOM PYATT
GABRIEL DUMONT NATE THOMPSON ALEXANDRE BURROWS

FREDRIK CLAESSON ERIK KARLSSON
DION PHANEUF CODY CECI
JOHNNY ODUYA BEN HARPUR

It remains to be seen if Chabot will get in the lineup tonight.

I like the idea of loading up that top line.

And then from the skate this morning, here's the new D pairings:

Oduya-Karlsson
Phaneuf-Ceci
Harpur-Claesson

Forward lines remain as above.

With that bottom 6 is prefer going with 7 D.

Top line heavy. That line better score!

Sounds like Condon could start, which seems crazy to me with how good Anderson was last game.

Looks like top-six is your best six, which I endorse. I liked the older pairings better, though, with Oduya at the bottom. That's a very soft top pairing. Gotta hit the Habs all night long.

Is Weber still out?

Where did you hear that?

Also, your comment about Chabot -- did you hear something about a call up?

Chabot was called up after his last game in Belleville. It's been confirmed that Condon starts and Chabot sits.

Just saw a few tweets confirming Chabot not playing and Condon starting. Guess they feel the Habs is Condon's old team plus he needs the start (Andy took both of the back-to-back games).

When did Chabot get called up? I was expecting it but missed it.

Sens a message to Anderson that he needs to be a lot better

I think it's a little ridiculous to have a guy like Chabot called up and then sit. He's not worse than either Oduya or Harpur, and I suspect Jaros is ahead of all three if playing on the right side.

It's not ridiculous for him. They like being called up regardless if they're playing or not.

Anderson also played 3 in 4 nights.

Yeah, and I guess Condon's numbers against Montreal are better than Anderson's. Still, I think Matrix was heating up and would've liked to see him stay in there.

I think it’s more because anderaoj asked to start Sunday when they were going to go with condon. So since he didn’t win, now we have to go to condon to make up for not giving him that start
