I can just tell he’s having problems with mobility and pivoting. Hes fine in straight line but he’s having to rely more on upper body movements for his agility than lower. I just don’t see the same karlsson. I’m not saying he won’t come back to his old self just that he isn’t the exact karlsson from this time last year

That set up on Stone's goal was sick. Jumps in to intercept the puck, kicks it to his stick, tape to tape on Stone's stick.

Karlsson is 1 behind Klinberg.

Harpur hasn't got his timing down back yet (from injury), but he's rounding back into that guy we saw in the playoffs.  Really like him and have always really like Claesson a lot, so I'm glad he's starting to get some points.

Duchene had 8 shots, he was everywhere, particularly in the 2nd half of the game.  Ryan might be good to go for next game, do they find some chemistry.  I could totally see them being a line teams of scared of to go with Stone and Brassard who are silly.

So we've lost Smith for 3 weeks. Dislocated thumb.

Nick Paul played 6:09. I wasn't far off.

Didn't realize Wideman played as a forward. He had 10 minutes of ice time. Playing on the 4th line. Paul had 6 playing on the 3rd.

Smith's loss is frustrating, but we can survive that one.

Oh, no, who will replace his 1 goal in 43 games?!

He's more than goals and points though.

Boucher doesn’t give much leeway to rookies unless they’re on fire right out of the gate.

Yeah, but top 6 minutes you need points. We have plenty of guys who bring stuff other than points.

Having a rough year statistically. Might end up making a decision easier next year.

Prager is right. If you're going to have time in the top 6, you have to produce. Smith is a very good player, but I'd love to see him spending basically all his time on JGP's wing, with some time on the 2nd PP unit.

Agreed. Him and pages should be the third line.

Having smith on the 2nd line is already testament of the hole we have in the top 6. He’s a great third liner with Pageau cantering him. I’m glad we can have a guy like him that can move up but I don’t feel that 2nd line spot should be his.

Guys, don't forget that we were thrown a wrench when Mac didn't pass his physical and then White and Ryan break their hand/finger. Meanwhile Dorion had his hands full having to deal with a 1LC who didn't want to re-sign.

And we're still solidly in a playoff spot.

Yeah, the mac thing is such a shame. He'd have rounded out this top 6 so well.

I'm pretty sure when we roll into the playoffs (that's right), our third line will hopefully have Smith on it and he won't be counted on for putting up points as much. This is, of course, assuming everyone's healthy.
