Seriously, you didn't realize they changed the rules so that it can only go 2 OTs this year before going to the shootout?

How come you guys didn't jump on SSF for his 11-0 prediction, which is about as ludicrous? Just like SSF and his over-the-top ridiculous score predictions I've been using the "Pyatt shootout winner" multiple times in the past as a joke. Geez, guys, you really think I don't know that one of my most hated regular season changes (the shootout) goes away in the playoffs? In fact, I consider the 3v3 OT a terrible (exciting, but terrible) gimmick. I *love* the fact that after regulation ends I have a full 15 minutes to catch up (on other scores, bodily functions, trolling other team fans) before settling back in, and I love the fact that it is simply a continuation of the game with 5 skaters per side. When I first came to Canada I hated the sudden-death aspect; now I only hate it if my team loses Smile

So, yeah, I'm well aware of the rule *non-changes* in the playoffs.

Yeah, sorry, didn't notice that right away but I'm pretty sure spader is aware of the *actual* rules, too.

lol. I was about to google it. He had me worried that I'd missed something major. Laughing3

EDIT: And, FWIW, SSF's post was clearly an homage to ol'Alfie. Also, that score isn't quite so far fetched after SJ's touchdown last night against the Oil. What a stinker for Katz's boys.

Maybe it was his fat kid in goal instead of Talbot.

And as for SSF, he has used variations on the 11-0 theme, it hasn't always been 11-0, and I really fail to see why *now* of all times, he would be doing an homage to Alfie. You sure it wasn't just a RHN?

I;ll save you the trouble and let you know I was wrong.  Here's another example of SSF posting an 11-0 prediction.  And look at the next post:

EDIT: OK, I was wrong about being wrong.

Here is a Burrows homage (before we got Burrows): http://www.gmhockey.com/t6476-gdt-game-55-sens-devils-feb-16-2017-700pm#431617
MacArthur (when he was not expected to ever play again): http://www.gmhockey.com/t6475-gdt-game-54-sabres-sens-feb-14-2017-730pm#431556
Finnegan (retired number): http://www.gmhockey.com/t6469-gdt-game-50-sens-sabres-feb-4-2017-700pm#431226
Not sure, Chara? http://www.gmhockey.com/t6468-gdt-game-49-sens-lightning-feb-2-2017-730pm#431188

A homage to Alfie that just happens to be a realistic expectation!

Meh. Who cares? I hope the Sens win 15-0. And that's not an homage to Heat-bag, Smith, or anyone else. I just want a couple of touchdowns and a 2 point conversion.

Alrighty Sens, let's put the boots to 'em and lock this thing down. I like that Harpur's still in.

NHL doing their best to even the series. Tonight's refs are Brad Meier Kevin Pollock.

Brad Meier is from Ohio and the Sens are 1-11 under him over the last 3 seasons. The Bruins have a Brad M. on their roster.

Kevin Pollock is from Leafs country and the Bruins are 10-1 under him the last 3 seasons. The Bruins have an actual "Kevin" on their roster; the Sens have a guy who picked "Kevin" as a joke.

Doomed!
