I would 100% expose Bobby to expansion, because he would not be taken. Pierre McGuire agrees with me, so I must be right.

It's a lot of money sure but how often have we seen the senators go out there and find a scorer? We gonna trade for another one and lose more assets? Certainly won't be one coming through FA? So where do we find this magical replacement?PTFlea wrote:That has a real potential to be an anchor contract. it would be a chance at a do-over on over 40 million dollars.kyle turris wrote:No way. Sure he's got a large cap hit but it's not like we would be using that space anywhere else.
Remember, I.was a huge supporter of signing ryan, but he's been underwhelming and for that kind of money, you need more production etc. I think most are quite disappointed and a do-over, maybe even in free agency would be at least something to consider.

On a weak roster it might be. Or on a roster where every one of your top 6 players are netting 50+ points. I understand scoring is way down, but if your top line RW is Ryan, you're in deep Dung.
Luckily he never will be with Mark Stone around.

As usual Ryan is underrated. As usual fans don't understand player value and need a scapegoat.

Youre 7 million dollars(reasons) are going to go where? Show me players that fetch that kind of dollars that wind up here? They usually go for those dollars to a more attractive market because there is never only one team like ottawa in on the bidding.PTFlea wrote:MarkStone wrote:I'd protect him regardless. There once was a time when he was a top line RW. Now...he's 2nd line material. 50-55 points and 7 million dollars = you better bring a lot more than Ryan does IMO. I hope to Dung I'm wrong, I want badly to be wrong, but he's looking like an anchor. Luckily...we don't need that cap space - yet.
