We'd have no problem trading him. Last nights opponent would probably give us RNH, for one.

I think the last thing the Oilers want to do is trade a bad contract for a terrible one. That said, the Oilers are an interesting case when it comes to the expansion draft. I imagine they will be trying to trade RNH (or another well paid forward) prior to the draft just to get prospects/picks.

I think they've been trying to unload RNH for about 2 years now... Plus, it looks like they want size on either of McDavid's wings, Draisaitl is on the right at this time. I'm sure Ryan would fit in that spot and freeing up Draisaitl to play C might be something the Oilers would like to do. Just a guess, though.

Ryan could easily be bought up, worst case scenario.

I like the guy, but I think they will look to move on.

He's a 50-55 point winger who would be a good pickup for Vegas

Agreed, this is not working here

It pains me to say so but I have to agree. Ryan isn't exactly bringing it. The only difference at this moment is that there isn't anyone much better to take his spot. But maybe that could change this summer.
I guess he'd have to agree to be left exposed though? Will have to see if that happens. They might try to trade him instead before that but I don't see that happening. Any team taking a gamble on rYan would want to unload another bad long term contract. Ericsson might be someone but even the Canucks probably expect him to bounce back better. But Ryan playing with the sedin could be interesting. They'd probably ask us to give up a pick too.
Urgh.

Ryan needs to go back to a warmer climate. Vegas, baby!

Just as glorious as the Sens win... Price in for 7 goals against in 7-0 loss to Wild.

Looks like I turned that game off too soon. 7-1 Wild.

Yeah someone ran Dubnyk and there was no call. Wild retaliated somewhat and the Habs got a late PP.

Nah, it was a fight between Byron and Stewart (about an 85 lbs difference there) and Stewart got the extra two for roughing. A really bad call.

Anyone hear what Pierre said? Apparently Therein asked Price if he wanted a mercy pull and Price said no, it wasa team struggle and the rest of them could not be pulled. Pierre then said that Price sacrificed potential year end hardware for the "well being and sanctity of the team".

I think there was a chorus of angels singing after that. Jesus Price.

Precipitated by Dubnyk being run a little earlier.

Sorry, didn't realize it was retaliation. The guys on TV were saying Byron was the aggressor.

In any case, it was a bad call regardless.

I happened to see all of it when I noticed the Habs were down 7 - 0, I had to watch the end of the game. It was too good to pass up.

Well the article on TSN makes it pretty official that the avs will part ways with both Lando and duschene for the right price. That price apparently starts with a top D prospect. So maybe Ceci ++ doesn't even cut the fat anymore and it has to be Chabot or bust.
At this point I don't feel that's a good option for us anymore. Our D prospects apart from chabot or ok but no top 4 guarantees.

I could see Anaheim being that team that offers up a nice D prospect. I could have seen the isles too but I honk all heir good D prospects have graduated.

Seems like the dusch being the solution to our LW problem is but a dream.

The Avs just made a small move. This is probably the domino that needed to drop for the Sens and Avs to do something HUGE!!!! Buckle up!!!!

Ahhhhh! Ahhhhh!

I think Chabot is a step above a "top level D prospect". Of the big four in that tournament (USA, Sweden, Canada, Russia) all the drafted players were "top prospects" and Chabot wasn't just the best D man in the tournament, he was the best overall.
