Like, really...what do they know that we as big fans don't?  Absolutely nothing.

These aren't prognostications, they're rankings. But I hear your point. It's a thing to talk about, and at this point in the summer, those are few and far between (hockeywise, that is).

Oh...I hear ya. I'm lucky as a sports fan that I can turn to baseball in the dog days.

That said...we're getting close to training camps etc. Ahhhhh!

There's apparently a World Junior Showcase starting today with some Sens content.

they don't know much but again, we tend to be slightly homer when it comes to prospects. we might know more about players but we are also more likely to overvalue them.(like i think we might be doing with perron)
EDIT: and mr PTFleat will you introduce mr cole schneider to everyone? Sarcasm

I don't understand what was wrong with Schneider though. I really thought he'd get a chance somewhere. Maybe he will with Buffalo.

Thomas Chabot.

Don't think there's any more.

Oh, apparently he's the only returning player on D.

Guess there was more, after all.

Someone on HF looked up the value of gold and applied that to Ceci's weight. If he signs for his weight in gold, he'll get $4,061,854.03/year. Never saw a salary down to the penny before.

That's likely the difference between fans and real talent evaluators. I thought I heard questionable things about his skating but I think you said he was fast. I don't know myself.

Apparently Logan Brown scored for the Americans. Who they were playing or when -- I don't know. I couldn't find any games on the Rogers dial.

Ah, here we go.

Sweden was up 3-0 before Team USA tied it up; then Brown completed the comeback win.

Meanwhile Canada lost 2-1 to Finland in OT.

Next games are on Friday -- 1PM for Canada/Sweden and 4PM for USA/Finland. Games are on TSN/TSN-2.

Saturday will see Sweden/Finland at 4 and Canada/USA at 7 (Tsn and TSN-4, respectively).

Chabot hit the post on a point shot during a powerplay. Canada was up 1-0 after 2 periods but could not build on the lead. Finnish goalie was pretty good.

Speaking of goalies. the US goalie who gave up 3 to Sweden is a Leafs prospect.
