GAME DAY #82: Senators @ Bruins - 12:30 pm - Saturday, April 9th 2016

This is it. An extra early start to the end of the season for the Sens. Monday will be "garbage bag day" but for now there's still a little unfinished business. The Bruins are tied with Detroit for 3rd in the Atlantic, but are in the last wildcard spot because the RedWings have one more ROW. They are also just 1 popoint up on Philadelphia, who hold a game in hand. Even if the Bruins win they are not guaranteed to get into the post-season. However if they lose, then they will need the Flyers to lose both of their remaining games. It's a little more complicated if the Bruins get a loser point but you get the big picture -- this is a hell of an important game.

No Crosby, no Letang (and of course no Malkin) in the Penguins game against Philly. They are 1 point back of the Bruins and have 1 game in hand. But of course they just lost to teh Leafs, so do they even deserve to be in the post-season?

Garrioch was asking where this was all season, I told him they're playing for their next coach.

So the rumor (from Simpson) is that Neely really wants Milbury to coach. So missing the playoffs would probably mean Julien is gone. Yes, Milbury. *That* Milbury.

So Milbury in Boston, Therrien in Montreal, Julien in Ottawa. Could happen.

Wow smith with his 25th. As much as I think it's the perfect time to trade him I think it's amazing to see this happening. What a major accomplishment for him!
