This is an interesting list that values the players I like (which makes me believe we might not get them) but in my opinion might overvalue chychrun. I keep hearing he might be ahead of his development curve and might not have increasingly more to give.

Diddle that guy sounds so good. He's big, calm, great shot apparently. He's also luke Richardson 's nephew funnily enough.

Yeah. Without a doubt we are getting a player. I'm not super hot on Brown. Seems like his size is a major aspect of why people talk about him but apperently he's not overly physical, likely not going to be more if he doesnt playing against easier competition.
Seems like he's good defensively but I rather not draft a guy that ends up being a third line center. Let's go for either high skill level or top pairing Dman. Preferably forward if you ask me. But could be good to draft someone that can replace karlsson when he leaves. Sarcasm Facepalm

Sergachyov im gonna say is the guy that slides. Even if he is playing in NA there's the Russian factor. Might not be as powerful to get him sliding far but if he slides to us I bet he slides right passed. Maybe Boucher thinks differently with his time in Tampa.

Also does anyone know if any players were invited to Ottawa after the combine?

I think when Flo said he might be ahead of his development that was not a good thing. It just means that he is closer to his ceiling right now than other 18 year olds.

I have this feeling the new regime will cool off on Swedes (not to the point of not drafting any, but certainly not as many as before); Russians have been off the menu for quite a while, perhaps it's time to check them out again. But it doesn't have to be a 1st round gamble.

I'd love that Russian D-man Sergachyov. Still high on Jost from what I know...

Brown's is the name I keep hearing, not that I have sources or anything. He's real interesting. Big frame.

Yeah, don't mind the sounds of him either. There's a whole bunch around where we're picking. Chychrun still sounds very, very promising. Big dude, ice water in his veins, cannon of a shot, high IQ, pro ready frame....lots to like there. A replacement for Methot or Phaneuf.

Both brown and chychrun scare me for the same reason. Less room to grow. Playing with kids. Might not be as effective in the NHL.

Brown perhaps, but I'm not worried about that Chychrun kid. Sounds like he's gonna be a heck of a pro, but it's a crap shoot obviously.

Oh I agree. I'm not saying chychrun is gonna bust but I think there are bigger question marks there than other players. I personally have question marks on brown from what I've read. Just screams put 3rd liner to me.
Then again I wasn't sure about monahan either and I seemed to be quite wrong there.

Seems like I'm not the only one that's not high on Brown

Not a big fan on 6th sens as he goes in and on about analytics way too much but I do think some of his opinions are valid.

The 6th Sens opinion of Brown sounds like someone who has never watched him play a single game.

The kid is 6'6" at 18. Big players typically take longer to hit their stride. He increased his goals from his 1st year to the 2nd and doubled his assist totals. I know it's just 2 points on the graph, but isn't that the point?
